Company history

  • 1954: Founding of the Ernst Schwarz sole proprietorship in Zurich Manufacture of SBB lamps, among other items.
  • Growth and relocation to Würenlingen Investment in CNC punching and laser cutting machines.
  • 1993: Acquisition of the company by Rolf W. Schwarz Company renamed SCHWARZ AG FEINBLECHTECHNIK.
  • Continued growth connected to large investments in equipment and 3D-CAD/ERP.
  • 1997: Acquisition of Lasergraph AG
  • 2007: Acquisition of Meto-Bau Gehäusetechnik AG and expansion of the production area in Würenlingen (doubling it to 6,000 m2).
  • 2009: Certification in accordance with DIN EN 15085-2 CL2.
  • 2012: Acquisition of the company by Christian A. Schwarz as part of a long planned succession arrangement.
  • 2014: Proud anniversary, "60 years of SCHWARZ AG FEINBLECHTECHNIK".
  • Continued expansion of welding technology with major focus on aluminium.
  • 2015: Acquisition of Roland Meier AG and investment in a new, fully automated laser cutting machine (Trumpf, 5kW fiber, incl. SortMaster).
  • 2019: acquisition of the company by Schrämli Holding AG
